We are recruiting for an experienced Admin Assistant based in the order control department for our client based at their offices in Basildon, Essex. (this role is 100% office based). Our client are in the engineering sector and supply parts to various industries including energy and chemical sectors. They have several offices across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand with more than 500,000 square feet of warehousing space.
Job Scope:
This opportunity will involve assisting with order control and administration. The role will include the following activities:
* Liaising with sales and warehouse personnel to assist with order documentation
* Assisting with documentation control and submissions
* Liaising with suppliers and customers
* Maintaining files and storing data electronically
* General admin duties around the office
* Working independently as well as working as part of a team within the company's network
Skills / Competency:
* Strong knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
* Good overall IT skills (some of the activities will involve the use of a company specific software system for which training will be provided)
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Able to work in a team as well as independently
* Versatile and willing to learn
* Administration experience ideally within engineering/manufacturing
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (office based).
Salary £25,000 - £28,000 per annum dependent on skills/experience.
