Job Summary: The successful candidate will the primary purpose of the job is to support the Group Finance Manager in providing high quality financial and management information, particularly with respect to controlling the fixed assets of the business, and ensure the team objectives are achieved, including month-end reporting and accounts, and maintaining and improving internal procedures. Fixed assets: Track RFA authorisation progress Ensure internal procedures are followed for all additions and disposals Liaise with project sponsors to monitor project spend through to asset commissioning Update UK and US FAR monthly for additions, disposals & depreciation Reconciliations Co-ordinate regular verifications of fixed assets and operating leases Internal reporting on spend v budget/forecast Analysis for UK and US corporation tax calculation (including repairs & maintenance expenses) Calculate forecast depreciation on a regular basis Financial Reporting: Assisting with preparation of monthly accounts for MBUK – month-end accruals, intercompany reconciliations, mobile phone costs, fuel stocks, Premier Inn costs Controlling the month-end processing of the finance team’s journals Balance sheet reconciliations, including collation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations file Year end schedules and provision of audit information Other: Stock adjustments, stock-in-transit journal and reconciliation Updating operating lease system, reporting and reconciliation to costs Co-ordination of weekly balance sheet reporting Assisting with analysis of P&L accounts for corporation tax computation Assisting with statutory accounts National stats returns Requirements Possess full skills and knowledge of an ACCA/CIMA part-qualified accountant Wide experience of month end responsibilities, with ownership of key processes High level analytical skills including advanced use of Excel spreadsheet applications Attention to detail At Martin Brower UK and Ireland, our commitment to our employees is unwavering.
