Our client in the Romford area is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Assistant to join their team. The Health & Safety Assistant will support the organisation's health and safety initiatives, promoting a positive culture in an educational setting to meet legal requirements.

Responsibilities
* Assist in implementing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
* Investigate accidents and near misses
* Support the development of health and safety training materials
* Collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure compliance with regulations
* Coordinate health and safety training programmes
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities
Qualifications
* Proven knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations and best practises
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
* Certification or training in health and safety is a plus
Day-to-day
* Conduct safety inspections and report findings
* Assist in developing safety training materials
* Collaborate with various departments to address health and safety concerns
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities
* Salary range: £30,000 - £33,000
