Location: Tipton
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 P/A
Full time: 40 hrs PW

Principal Purpose of Role:
To maintain all manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities in good working order. Improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR).
Main Duties:
1. Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
2. Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM).
3. Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned works orders as required.
4. Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary.
5. Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to line Manager.
6. Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues.
7. Make full use of CMMS.
8. Plan/prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
9. Assist in the meeting of daily production plan.
10. Fill in job tickets/CMMS on completion of work accurately and in a timely manner.
11. Respond to maintenance requests for equipment faults, diagnose faults, repair, and return equipment to operational service.
12. Identify spares requirements, log usage and aid in control.
13. Assist in the moving, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipment.

2. Be proactive in managing personal health, safety, and wellbeing and that of colleagues.

4. Work efficiently to not negatively affect the environment, waste materials unnecessarily, or damage company property.
5. Protect the general security of the site and the people working in it.
6. Ensure any process change or improvement complies with all relevant health and safety policies.

2. Provide clear and persuasive oral communication.
3. Openly give and receive feedback.
4. Actively participate in meetings with good presentation skills.
5. Ensure written communication is clear and informative with good spelling and grammar.

Additional Responsibilities / Personal Performance:
1. Ensure line performance is optimized.
2. Communicate all issues to team leader/shift Production Manager.
3. Notify Maintenance and Production Managers immediately of services breakdown.
4. Notify Maintenance and Production Managers of any stoppages lasting one hour or more.
