Job Title: National Sales Manager
Working Hours: 8 - 5 Monday to Thursday, 8 – 4 Friday
Job Purpose The National Sales Manager will be responsible for account management, developing new business and achieving sales targets, to constantly improve IG Elements market position in line with company strategy. this tole will cover the whole of the UK.
Key Accountabilities
* Introduce IG Elements products and develop working relationships with new customers within the house building industry.
* Expand coverage of our existing customer base.
* Establish IG Elements on the tender list of target customers.
* Plan sales approaches and pitches, understanding client needs, concerns and objectives, holding ultimate responsibility for the effective onboarding of new clients.
* Write business plans for all current and opportunity tender business.
* Managing key accounts, maintaining a long-term relationship with accounts and maximising sales opportunities within them.
* Increase volume of desired enquiries.
* Achieve sales targets to enable growth.
* Review customer performance regularly and ensure actions are progressing, taking corrective actions where necessary.
* To grow IG Elements presence in the distribution and merchant markets, specifically focusing on a concise range of door entrance canopies (PROCAN) and an innovative GRP tile system (PROTILE).
* Present to and consult with the management team on business trends with a view to developing profitable new business.
* Participate in pricing solutions and services for clients which reflect established margin expectations.
* Identify trends and ideas by researching industry and related events, publications and announcements.
* Ensure all quotations issued by Estimating team are followed up within an agreed period, with follow up dates agreed and scheduled to ensure increased conversion rates.
* Act on new business leads promptly and provide a weekly progress report on development, provide a monthly management report using the template provided by the Sales Director.
* Provide sales forecasts and regular update opportunities.
* Prepare a monthly report on activity and sales performance.
* Liaise effectively and build strong relationships with customer services, marketing, commercial, group businesses, transport and all line management to ensure effective and positive teamwork is achieved.
* Assist the quotation process and pricing for new customers, where applicable.
* Always maintain a clean and professional image, protecting the company’s property, interest and viewpoints.
Key Experiences
* Experience within a Senior Sales, Sales Manager and or Business Development Manager position is essential
* Experience in the house building sector
* Experience in managing direct and distribution sales would be beneficial
* Must be results driven and can demonstrate success
