Where does the role fit it? Swansea Young Persons service provides temporary accommodation to young people age 16-24 who are experiencing homelessness. The service delivers intensive housing related supported to individuals who are ready to gain independence and a tenancy of their own. What is great about this role? As a Scheme Support Officer you will support our Young People in developing the key skills needed to prevent homelessness. You will support them to improve financial capability and to develop the skills to settle into the community and achieve positive progression. What skills and experience do you need? To excel as a Scheme Support Officer, you don't necessarily need previous experience or specific qualifications. Instead, this role requires: Flexibility: Adapt to the dynamic nature of the job and handle a variety of tasks efficiently. Enthusiasm, Motivation, and Creativity: Approach your work with passion and innovative thinking. Initiative: Work independently in a busy environment, making informed decisions on your own. Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, contributing positively to the team. Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Our goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role that involves addressing complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health issues, substance misuse, and offending behaviour. You will encounter a variety of personalities and behaviours, some of whom may be resistant to the support we offer. Therefore, you must be adaptable in your approach to engaging with a diverse clientele. Pobl Benefits Competitive salary of £23,367.60 FTE Part-time, permanent position (36hrs) Work Pattern: Day shifts (between 07:30am – 10:30pm) Our service is staffed 24/7 therefore shifts include working weekends & bank holidays.
