Randstad are looking for passionate and talented child support workers in a fantastic residential and school setting. The service is highly rated by the care inspectorate successively receiving 5s and 6s across the board. Starting salary is £21,000-£28,000 plus overtime and sleepover allowances. You will work a 37 hour week on a rotational shift basis.
You will be supporting some of the most vulnerable children in Scotland from ages 5 and up with complex needs and specialised care requirements to develop and thrive. You will foster a supportive and nurturing environment and act as a positive parenting role model.

A successful child support worker will be responsible for:
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Supporting the social and practicall needs of children
- Taking service users between residential units and school
- Co-ordinating with teachers and wider care team
- Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
- Working to a flexible schedule, including nightshifts, weekends and bank holidays
To be successful in your child support worker application, you will:
- Have previous experience working in a care setting with young people
- Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
- Have strong communication skills
- Obtain or be willing to work towards Dyadic Developmental Practice level 1
- Register under the PVG scheme and SSSC
- Full driving licence
- Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
