We are seeking to find a proactive and positive member of our pastoral support team at Martin High School. The ideal candidate will relish the opportunity to work closely with our learners who demonstrate sometimes challenging and demanding behaviors; they will need to respond to all in our school community with kindness, patience, and good humor. In this role, we are seeking a head of year to provide appropriate advice to the pupils and to be accountable for the individual Year Team/Tutors.
Some of the key responsibilities:
1. High standards of behavior
2. Monitoring and implementing the schools’ code of conduct
3. Behavior policy and welfare of pupils ensuring good behaviors
4. Attendance, punctuality, and uniform
Hours: 32.5 hours per week / 42 weeks per year (term time plus 4 weeks includes Teacher training days)
Annual Salary: Grade 9 - £26,634 P/A (full term equivalent £31,074)
Additional allowance added to this role/salary, which can be discussed at interview.
