An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Waste and Recycling Advisor - to join our waste and recycling team. You will lead a team of 3 Waste and Recycling Advisors, and together you will help guide and support our residents through the forthcoming waste and recycling service changes for 2025 and 2026.
Are you good at working with and helping people?
You will be able to engage, and build excellent relationships with our residents, businesses, and other key stakeholders, providing information that will help drive behaviour change. This will involve answering customer enquiries, processing requests, and resolving issues. We must ensure our residents are fully informed and able to participate in the new recycling initiatives and you will be pivotal to the success of the service changes and the anticipated increase in recycling across the district.
Taking a lead
You will be able to monitor the work of the waste and recycling advisors and ensure appropriate workloads are in place and desired outcomes are being achieved. This may also include supporting with training for waste advisors, monitoring customer enquiry levels and reporting to the senior team. You will however also need to be a team player acting as the public facing representative for service change enquiries and supporting the waste advisors with face-to-face visits to properties.
You have:
A minimum of GCSE education including Maths and English to grade C or equivalent and will be a confident communicator, written, verbally and face to face.
You may have experience of leading a small team, working within the community and strong commitment to customer care.
It is essential for this role that you can drive and have access to your own vehicle.
