Henshaws College are looking for a highly motivated and dynamicLead Nursewith a broad range of nursing knowledge and experience to lead the clinical team in delivering high quality research based clinical training and education packages to meet the care needs of students with a wide range of clinical needs.
This is a newly developed role with a large focus on quality and maintaining safe practice.
This role will allow you to access specialist training and supervision to ensure we are providing the most current research based practice to meet students holistic and sometimes complex health needs.
Our students are young adults aged 16-25 with a range of learning disabilities. Combining day and residential students along with respite stays requires excellent planning and organizational skills and can present daily challenges making for an exciting role.

This role requires flexible working with a requirement to work a minimum of 1 late shift per week and 1 weekend per half term.

Specialist knowledge and experience of developing and delivering training packages for a variety of health/ clinical needs and to both individuals and groups
Demonstrates leadership qualities and ability to facilitate team working
Understanding of the Clinical Governance and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety/CQC

Job responsibilities
To be the lead RGN responsible for the organisation and timely deliveryof the clinical education programme, training and competency assessing of delegatedclinical skills to meet student needs
To compose and deliver training packages to health care and educationstaff in a variety of settings on a range of clinical / health care subjectswith support from the wider clinical team.
To work as part of the wider clinical team to provide direct support tostudents with identified health needs and complete a range of nursing procedureswhen required
To line manage the Nurse Associate and/or the Nursing assistants,providing day to day support and organising the workload to ensure an effectiveservice
To be an integralpart of the clinical team supporting in the developing,implementing, evaluating and reviewing individualised plans of care, riskassessments and maintaining the safety of students.
