What the Job Involves Collect waste from households and businesses as per the Council’s recycling and waste strategy and collection schedules. Deliver a high-quality service to the public, ensuring all collections are made on schedule and the area is left clean and safe. Monitor contamination in recycling collections and follow subsequent procedures. Work constructively and effectively as part of a team with a positive attitude. Follow and comply with all Safe Working Practices, procedures, and Health and Safety Policies. Undertake any necessary training to perform the role safely and effectively. Report any incidents/concerns to the Area or Deputy Supervisor immediately. Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation accurately and timely. Act as Relief HGV Driver/Team Leader if necessary, given relevant experience and licence. Work at other depots when operational necessity demands it. Undertake additional duties if required, including responsibilities like litter picking and safe removal of sharps. Adhere to the Council's Equal Opportunities Policy and occasionally work outside normal hours, including weekends and bank holidays. ```
