Job Opening: Host at Pasture
We are seeking a friendly and experienced host to join our team at Pasture, a vibrant steak house and late-night bar in Cardiff, renowned for its fire-based cooking and local ingredients.
About Pasture: Located in the heart of Cardiff, near Cardiff Castle, our restaurant showcases open kitchens with charcoal grills and dry aging cabinets. We source our beef from Welsh and South West farms, dry age it for at least 35 days, and prepare fresh steaks daily. Our menu celebrates local produce and fire-based cooking, offering modern dishes in a lively atmosphere.
Role Responsibilities:
* Manage reservations using systems like SevenRooms or similar
* Greet customers warmly and efficiently, creating a welcoming environment
* Communicate effectively with guests and team members
* Handle guest needs and resolve issues proactively
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in restaurant reservations or reception roles
* Proficiency with booking systems, email, and computers
* Excellent communication skills both on the phone and face-to-face
* Problem-solving skills and a team-oriented attitude
