TPS Warehouse Operative

What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the TPS Warehouse Operative is responsible for ensuring the efficient control of inbound and outbound warehouse parts stock while providing excellent service to customers.
1. Perform quality checks on stock deliveries.
2. Identify and place inbound parts into the correct locations (stock items, customer orders, etc.).
3. Pick customer orders quickly and accurately to prepare for dispatch.
4. Adhere to First In, First Out (FIFO) stock control management processes.
5. Maintain stock securely and in good condition.
6. Assist the Warehouse Manager with regular perpetual stock checks.
7. Ensure faster moving parts are located conveniently to improve picking efficiency.
8. Provide the highest levels of customer service by picking parts accurately and assembling them for customer delivery runs.
9. Efficiently handle trade customers visiting the TPS Centre.
10. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times (particularly manual handling practices).
11. Follow and comply with established business processes and guidelines (including warranty).
12. Process exchange units and returns swiftly, completing all required documentation accurately and promptly.
13. Utilize and update all systems effectively to carry out allotted tasks.
Essential Skills
What are we looking for?
1. Experience in a parts or distribution operation involving inventory control, goods inwards, and order picking.
2. Passionate about the automotive industry.
3. Proven experience of providing great customer service.
4. Demonstrate a positive 'can-do' attitude and an honest disposition.
5. Able to lift and carry heavy items.
6. Computer literate - able to use appropriate systems and software (e.g., Excel).
7. Ability to work in a small team, as well as using own initiative.
8. Ability to record information accurately and legibly.
9. A methodical approach with great attention to detail.
10. Good communication skills - verbal and written.
