About the role
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented individual to join our support team as an IT Support Technician, reporting to the IT Manager. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, possesses excellent organizational skills, and has a passion for both technology and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will keep an open mind, with a keen willingness to learn new systems and identify areas for improvement. There is potential for career development as the IT department and firm expand and grow over the next few years.
Responsibilities
* Provide first-line support to ~100 staff via phone, email as well as in-person and remotely across 3 offices
* Working with IT suppliers, partners and the IT Manager to diagnose & resolve various hardware and software related issues throughout the firm
* Assist with setup, configuration and maintenance of all IT assets
* Organise setup of equipment for new starters
* Install and maintain software applications, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and secure
* Escalate unresolved issues to the IT Manager when necessary
* Ensure cyber-security best practices are applied throughout the firm
* Adhering to strict financial services regulations and GDPR
Skills & Experience
* Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
* Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills – both written and verbal
* Familiarity with Windows operating system and common software(s) such as Microsoft Office
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
* Experience in a similar first-line IT support role is beneficial, but not necessary
* Relevant qualifications are a bonus but not necessary (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, etc)
* Driving Licence for inter-office travel is beneficial, but not necessary
