We are seeking skilled and experienced Electricians to join our dynamic team based out of our Neath office. Duties and Responsibilities: Installations of HV equipment such as Power transformers, up to 400kV, Earth Switches, Disconnectors, CT’s, Protection panels, Battery chargers, SCADA panels etc within new or existing substations to ensure compliance with DNO/IDNO specifications. Protection panel/substation wiring. Installation and maintenance of switchgear from low voltage up to 400kV, including GISInstall and maintain various cable containment systems, including tray and ladder. Install, gland, terminate, and test Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) cables. Carry out wiring and electrical work within control panels. Conduct electrical testing and fault finding to ensure system reliability. Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Work collaboratively with other team members, engineers, and project managers. To carry out a range of industrial/commercial High Voltage and low voltage electrical maintenance and installation works. Actively promote a positive safety culture, ensuring all Company and customer safety rules and procedures are observed by staff and contractors. Operate in accordance with the Company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures. Be familiar with the required Health, Safety and Environmental standards governing your job in particular, complying fully with risk assessments/method statements/safe working procedures. Maintain polite and good communication with clients, colleagues and others who may be affected by your work. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environment & quality polices, procedures and standards at all times. Skills and Experience: Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks. Strong understanding of safe systems of works within a substation. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment DNO experience or installation of 11KV Switchboards, Transformers, RMUs etc…. Electrical testing & inspection desirable. Plans, organises and undertakes maintenance on HV networks to meet customer requirements in accordance with Company safety and maintenance standards.
