Do you have extensive technical knowledge of Ships including P&L, Class Inspection, Budgets, Dry Docking, Repars, Defects, Claims, Reporting, Spares, navigation equipment, Engines, Stores, Lubricants, purchasing and a willingness to regularly visit the two ROPAX operating in the Irish sea?
Our client are a leading Ship Management company with responsibility for two passenger ferries operating in the Irish sea.

The Role:
Technical Superintendent overseeing two Passenger vessels
Regularly visiting vessels operating in the Irish Sea
Responsible for the operational issues and day to day running
Prepare Individual Ship Budgets
Oversea Repair and Dry-dockings
Arrange Class inspections
Rectify defects
Oversee Claims
Ensure Spare parts are kept in stock
Maintain vessel paperwork
Arrange Surveys
Oversee Technical Machinery, navigation equipment and Hotel/Catering Equipment
Manage appropriate Stores, Lubricants and Spares stocks
Oversee Planned Maintenance
Any other duty as required by Management to ensure safety of vessels
The Person
First Class Chief Engineers Certificate or Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or equivalent
Ideally some Experience as a Technical Superintendent Ashore but extensive ROPAX/Ferry experience will be considered
Must reside within 2 hours of Dulin or Rosslare.
