What will I be Doing?
* This is a customer-facing role with weekly travel across your region; flexibility is therefore required.
* You will advise, guide, coach, support, and train operational managers, supervisors, safety representatives, and employees.
* As well as being our Health and Safety guru, you will be a collaborative leader and people manager providing guidance, support, and development to your team of Health & Safety advisors and your stakeholders.
* Problem-solving will be natural to you, helping drive pragmatic and practical infield Health & Safety solutions.
* You will lead on Health & Safety reporting and incident investigation for the region and therefore will need strong data analysis and presentation skills.
Additionally, as a strong communicator, the ability to drive engagement will be key as you will lead the North Regional Health, Safety & Wellbeing forum, developing our safety and wellbeing representative network and aligning yourself with the Operational Teams.
What are the Requirements?
* You will need a Nebosh Diploma/NVQ level 5 in Occupational Safety and Health and be a Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
* Previous experience in a similar multisite role with a complex structured organisation is essential.
* Prior experience in recycling and recovery is desirable.
