Our client in the Romford area is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Assistant to join their team. The Health & Safety Assistant will support the organisation's health and safety initiatives, promoting a positive culture in an educational setting to meet legal requirements.

Responsibilities
1. Assist in implementing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures
2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
3. Investigate accidents and near misses
4. Support the development of health and safety training materials
5. Collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure compliance with regulations
6. Coordinate health and safety training programmes
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities
Qualifications
8. Proven knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations and best practises
9. Strong organisational and communication skills
10. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
11. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
13. Certification or training in health and safety is a plus
Day-to-day
14. Conduct safety inspections and report findings
15. Assist in developing safety training materials
16. Collaborate with various departments to address health and safety concerns
17. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities
18. Salary range: £30,000 - £33,000
