The opportunity
This is an opportunity to kick start or further your career in a fast-paced high profile finance team. As part of the team, you will help to maintain the general ledger accounts and facilitate the payment of profit share to the Partners of the UK and Irish firms. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude and willingness to develop strong IT skills with support, sees the value in always looking for better ways to do things and maintains attention to detail. Your priorities will be to provide a high-quality service to the Partners, accurate and timely information to support decision making and calculations and ad hoc support across the team to ensure that all deadlines are met.
As a team we have a Hybrid working style, which gives flexibility while maintaining a collaborative environment. We are based at EY’s office in Newcastle upon Tyne, optimising team working opportunities, particularly around busy periods. This is complemented with working remotely to enabling a healthy work-life balance.

6. Ability to work under pressure and recognition of when to reach out for support.
To qualify for the role, you must have
7. Strong excel foundations or willingness to learn them and the desire to develop existing skills.
8. Skilled in appropriately prioritising tasks and workload within the team to meet the changing needs of the business and respond to ad hoc requests without losing sight of the many tasks arising from the underlying annual cycle.
9. Experience isn’t essential if you have a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn.
