This is a unique opportunity to oversee a vital humanitarian service that reunites families and restores hope. A day in the life of a Service Manager will involve: Lead and Inspire the Team: Manage and support a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, ensuring they deliver exceptional service to clients in line with organisational values. Operational Oversight: Oversee the delivery of the International Family Tracing service, ensuring timely and effective case management for individuals seeking to locate and reconnect with family members. Strategic Development: Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives to enhance the reach and impact of the service. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and international Red Cross and Red Crescent societies. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies, data protection regulations, and other relevant legislation. Prepare regular reports on service performance and impact. Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide opportunities for professional growth within the team. To be a successful Service Manager, Youll need: Experience: Proven experience in service management, casework, or humanitarian aid, ideally in a leadership role. Leadership Skills: The ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work compassionately with clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Problem-Solving Ability: Strong organisational and analytical skills to manage complex cases and operational challenges. Cultural Sensitivity: An understanding of the challenges faced by displaced individuals and communities.
