About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join our client's dynamic Digital team, contributing to delivering a seamless digital experience across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
* Managing and deploying crucial systems with a focus on automation, user-friendly configuration, minimising errors, repeatability, and security.
* Creating and managing automated cloud pipelines.
* Using monitoring tools to assess service performance.
* Applying infrastructure-as-code principles to deliver scalable, predictable, and automated solutions.
* Enabling development teams to effectively build and deliver software solutions.
* Advocating for automated, resilient, and secure development processes.
* Addressing and resolving anomalies and contributing to broader investigative efforts as required.
* Providing support and collaboration with engineering teams on cutting-edge technologies.
* Participating in an on-call rotation for system support.
* Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions on the Azure platform.
* Proficiency in monitoring services to ensure optimal performance and stability.
* Capability to deploy various Azure resources, such as IaaS, PaaS, and serverless solutions.
* Familiarity with the Hub-Spoke architectural model.
* Expertise in cloud orchestration tools like Terraform and Ansible.
* Strong understanding of Kubernetes.
* Experience in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Solid analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgement.
* Background in Linux system administration.
* Understanding of networking concepts.
* Knowledge of HAProxy.
* Experience with Eventstore.
* Familiarity with databases like MySQL/MariaDB/Galera.
* Experience working with Redis.
* Knowledge of vSphere/VMWare platforms.
