We are working with one of the largest contracting businesses in the country to find them an experienced Bid Writer to join their wider bid and preconstruction team from their regional office near Slough
They work on fame-work and 2 stage negotiated work on schemes in the education, retail, health, leisure and commercial marketplaces on schemes from £10 to £120 million across the M4 Corridor, Reading and Oxfordshire patches.
Duties include the following:
1. Write high-quality winning proposal documents, to including producing, coordinating and editing written content
2. Manage the submissions process where required
3. Contribute to the bid team at key stages of individual tender projects, gathering technical information from internal departments to compile and ensure a high-quality bespoke solution is offered to the client
4. Actively participate in story boarding and development of strategic themes
5. Ensure all proposals are prepared in line with tender programme requirements
6. Ensure submissions are produced are to the highest quality and aligned with company bid management standards
7. Be responsible for proofreading material and providing technical and commercial writing skills
8. Assist with development of bespoke proposals, best practice information, technique guides, template answers and style sheets
9. Build and develop relationships with key business sector teams
10. Produce high-quality documents and submissions in line with identified deadlines
11. Analysis and review of previous submissions and document learning for implementation in future bids
12. Produce promotional/marketing materials and award submissions
13. Manage the submission content as part of the wider bid process
14. Assemble and shape construction information into compelling submissions
15. Write and edit pre-qualification documents
16. Write and edit capability statements and expression of interest documents
17. Liaise with the wider Pre-construction team for technical content
18. Create and edit presentations
19. Capture and collate evidence to support submissions
Ideally candidates will have previous experience of working in the construction industry producing proposals and bids and experience of frameworks would be an advantage but the role is content and quality driven so applications from talented individuals from outside the construction industry would be welcomed.
