Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) are a leading supplier who work in correlation with many Local Authorities to assist with the issues of littering & fly tipping within the boroughs. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, along with vast experience in the industry and a clear understanding of PACE & all relevant legislation, WISE is a favorable supplier.
Main Purpose of the Role for the Enforcement Team Manager
As an Environmental Support & Enforcement Team Manager, you will patrol the borough in an intelligence-led manner, enforcing legislation as authorized by issuing on-the-spot Fixed Penalty Notices.
Responsibilities:
* Act as Brand Ambassador for the local authority and WISE, being the first point of contact for clients.
* Patrol the borough according to an agreed deployment strategy.
* Investigate complaints and document all outcomes.
* Ensure all team equipment is signed in and out daily.
* Cover for any periods of annual leave/absence to maintain exceptional service delivery.
* Complete a daily vehicle inspection form before driving any company vehicle.
* Engage and educate the public regarding Environmental Crime-related offences.
* Follow WISE’s Standard Operating Instructions when issuing Fixed Penalty Notices.
* Attend court and provide evidence as required.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
* The ability to communicate effectively with the public, even in demanding circumstances.
* Initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment.
* Understanding that this role is based outdoors and requires working in all weather conditions.
* Clear and concise writing skills.
* Physical fitness for prolonged foot patrols.
* Capability to successfully complete the Enviro Crime Induction Course and be signed off as competent for independent patrol by a Training Officer.
* A driving license is preferred.
This is a full-time contract requiring you to work 5 days, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays, totaling 50 hours per week. The successful candidate will be paid £14 per hour and will have access to 28 days of annual leave (including bank holidays).
