A vacancy has arisen for an Electrical Projects Manager with Water Industry experience to join our team. The Electrical Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating electrical projects across our operations within the water network infrastructure, both regionally and nationally. The role is crucial to the successful completion of electrical projects, adeptly combining technical knowledge, project management capabilities, and strong communication skills to meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading project delivery, working closely with the Head of Operations, site teams, and MEICA Design Manager to achieve the required project outputs, standards, and specifications.
* Providing technical guidance and expertise in electrical systems and installations, including reviewing designs, conducting feasibility studies, and troubleshooting issues.
* Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution, including safety considerations and compliance with regulations.
* Working with the commercial team to monitor project costs and manage financial resources effectively.
* Ensuring all work meets industry standards and regulations, conducting inspections, quality checks, and implementing necessary corrective actions.
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Efficiently managing resources and liaising with project delivery staff to optimize resource utilization.
Ideal Candidate:
* Project Management: Proven experience in project management or a similar role.
* Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Prince 2, AMP qualification, or equivalent.
* Certification: CSCS Card (black) or relevant industry accreditation, SMSTS training, Compex, full UK driving licence.
* Regulations Knowledge: Understanding of CDM2015 regulations and 18th edition electrical installation regulations.
* Health & Safety: IOSH or NEBOSH standard.
* Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation.
* Soft Skills: Influencing skills, organisational skills, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and team collaboration.
* Personality Traits: Assertive, confident, friendly, adaptable, safety-oriented, punctual, and flexible.
