An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced part-time nursery practitioner to join our setting here at Looby Loos Nursery.
Job Requirement Essential Qualification: NVQ Level 2 or 3 Qualification or Equivalent.
Responsibilities include:
1. Adhere to the statutory Framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted requirements.
2. Have responsibility for health and safety and the care of the children in your designated room throughout the day-to-day.
3. Ensure confidentiality with regard to the staff, parents, and children is adhered to at all times.
4. Work efficiently alongside the staff within your designated room to offer the children high-quality care, education, attention, stimulation, and support as outlined in the EYFS document.
5. Collaborate with the Early Years Team to plan a high-quality curriculum that meets relevant legislation and the children's individual needs.
6. Provide a warm, secure, and welcoming environment, ensuring that the children and families using the setting receive the highest standards of learning, care, and development in early years provision.
7. Maintain a high awareness of the setting's policies and procedures and ensure these are followed during everyday tasks.
8. Address child protection issues, reporting any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead Practitioner or Deputy and accurately record factual information.
9. Ensure the needs of Special Educational Needs (SEN) children are met in conjunction with the setting's policies.
10. Maintain good communication with the management team and the staff within your room regarding everyday occurrences within the setting.
11. Build positive working relationships and partnerships with parents to promote parental involvement.
12. Work as an effective part of the team, maintaining good morale and positively promoting a team approach, leading to a high reputation both in and outside of the setting.
13. Ensure regular observations are carried out for your children to inform your planning and to raise any concerns at the earliest opportunities.
14. Work in partnership with the setting's Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to demonstrate good practice in supporting children with additional needs and inclusion.
15. Keep updated and accurate Learning Journals for each child and make them available for viewing by parents at all times.
You must be suitably qualified and certified to hold the appointment and should be able to undertake the duties detailed above with ease.
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time roles available.
Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour.
