A law firm in London has created a new role for a Senior Compensation, Benefits and Well-being Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to be primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm’s compensation, benefits, and well-being programmes, reporting into the Chief People Officer.
This new role within the HR team will oversee and support all key annual reward processes such as salary reviews, bonus schemes, benefits renewals, and enrolment windows, as well as regulatory reporting, data preparation, and report maintenance for the HR team and the wider business. You will work closely with the firm’s payroll manager and those supporting the firm’s diversity and inclusion work.
The role will involve building relationships across the business to ensure a high standard of support to internal stakeholders. You will act as the firm’s reward and benefits champion, driving efficiency and engagement, implementing best practices, and identifying opportunities to improve the firm’s employee experience and bring to life the employee value proposition.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation
1. Manage and pro-actively review the reward strategy of the firm.
2. Benchmark salaries, ensuring consistency in approach, providing insights and analysis as required.
3. Regularly conduct thorough analysis of market data and trends to provide insights to support the business, including presentations to key boards where needed.
4. Provide support to the HR Business Partner team for the design, implementation, and delivery of annual salary reviews and bonus processes.
5. Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to survey vendors such as Willis Towers Watson and of reports such as gender pay gap reports.
6. Provide advice to the HR Recruitment team relating to offers, ensuring consistency and equity across roles.

2. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external providers, particularly during renewal periods.
3. Research and evaluate industry trends to ensure that the firm is competitive in the benefits market.
4. Deliver informative communication materials that engage employees and partners with the firm’s benefits provision.
5. Support the HR Business Partner team to understand and communicate in relation to benefits.
6. Handle enquiries or escalate to suppliers and provide benefits support and guidance during the various stages of the partner/employee life cycle.
Well-being
1. Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to support the firm’s commitment to promoting well-being.
2. Collate and utilise data to track, measure, and report in relation to well-being goals, including analysis where this is required for client pitches.
3. Design and implement initiatives designed to enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being to boost engagement and resilience across the business.
4. Maintain an annual calendar of well-being events to create an environment where employees feel valued and supported.
5. Participate in relevant external well-being kitemarks, certifications, and benchmarking assessments.
General
1. Increase the use of data analytics to inform compensation and benefit decisions.
2. Ensure salary and benefits compliance with legal requirements (to include Gender Pay Gap reporting, P11D filing, and submission).
3. Prepare forecast budget for compensation and benefits for the financial year.
Hybrid - 2 to 3 days in the office per week.
