Group Financial Accountant – Loughborough University
£45,585 – £54,395 per annum | Pension equivalent contribution c20% | Hybrid Working (3 days office, 2 home) | 44 days annual leave including bank holidays. 30 days flexible to choose from, 8 bank holidays, & 6 university closure days.

Key Responsibilities:
* University and Consolidated Financial Statements: Lead the preparation and consolidation of the Annual Review and Financial Statements for the University and its subsidiaries, ensuring accurate external reporting.
* Lead a Small Team: Manage Financial Accountants, ensuring financial control and insightful reporting.
* Technical Expertise: Act as the University’s financial accounting expert and lead group financial statement preparation.
* Financial Planning: Handle core accounting, manage forecasting for central costs and depreciation, and ensure quality in subsidiary accounts.
Requirements:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with substantial experience in a large, complex financial environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial issues clearly.
* Proficiency in financial systems and Excel.
