The company designs and manufactures bespoke engineering systems and test machinery for various industry sectors including automotive and defence. Due to increased sales and growth, they are seeking to strengthen their team by the recruitment of a Commissioning Engineer.
Reporting to the Engineering Director, the main purpose of the Commissioning Engineer role is to be responsible for the commissioning and overseeing the installation of equipment and systems to ensure they work safely and meet clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Checking onsite system electrical installations and fault finding as necessary.
2. Calibrating and setting up electronic data acquisition, electrical and mechanical systems.
3. PID tuning of standard automotive control loops.
4. Working with development engineers to test bespoke control software.
5. Configuring test sequences and performing test runs.
6. Following commissioning steps and checks.
7. Liaising with customers to achieve system functionality sign-off.
8. Producing commissioning time schedules.
9. Undertaking customer service calibration, fault finding, and rectification visits.
10. Site-based role mainly in the UK and overseas.
I would be keen to receive your application if you are a Commissioning Engineer who holds the following experience and skills:
1. Electrical understanding, with the ability to understand and read electrical drawings and diagnose issues.
2. Ideally hold a degree in engineering or an electrical qualification.
3. Understanding of software development is desirable.
4. Excellent verbal and written skills.
5. Able to work away from home when required.
6. Hold a UK driving license.
The role is a day shift Monday to Friday with some flexibility in working hours. The company is based in the Malvern area, making it easily commutable from Worcester, Hereford, Cheltenham, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Redditch, and Birmingham.
Salary: from £30,000 to £45,000 per annum.
