Purpose:
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager (BDM) to help us expand our clientele, focusing on long-term partnership contracts across a diverse range of Soft Service Solutions in the UK Market. You will be the front face of the company and will be dedicated to creating and applying an effective sales strategy to achieve the company’s growth targets. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong client relationships.
Job Title: Business Development Manager
We are looking for an experienced Soft Services BDM who will focus on developing business across Cleaning, Security and Concierge. This is an exciting, fast-paced, deadline-driven role for a self-starter who will quickly develop and maintain a sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
This is a permanent full-time position. We expect the successful person to have a proven track record of business development within the Private and/or Public Sectors in the UK.
Experience within the following would be helpful but not exclusive:

• Private and Public sectors
Location:
It is a hybrid position that includes working from home, the ability to travel across the UK, and attending meetings at the UK head office in London.
Although the role is hybrid, it would be beneficial if you are located in the London area.
Responsibilities
• To achieve new business target of £3m annually across soft service solutions including but not limited to Cleaning, Security and Concierge.
• To identify and build a long-term active pipeline, exploring both existing markets and targeting new market opportunities
• Support re-bids and variations for existing clients.
• Work with the Bid team to generate winning responses to complex procurement
• Take complete ownership of, develop, and deliver exceptional sales and presentations in line with Company standards. Generate relevant document preparation using specialist support functions (procurement, HR, QHSE, etc.), local managers, and the BD team.
• Ensure that appropriate signoffs are adhered to when considering new business opportunities.
• To negotiate and successfully close sales opportunities to meet and exceed agreed sales targets within the target markets agreed by the Head of BD UK and the Commercial Director.
• To develop and build long-term professional customer relationships with existing, new and potential clients.
• Maintain excellent relationships and after-sales support to build confidence in line with the agreed business strategy
• Raise the company and business profile by representing us at industry events, conducting high-level networking, and consistently promoting a professional image.
• Keep updated with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market trends.
• Ensure that specialist functions, such as HR, QHSE, and Operations, are advised of any new potential business to ensure compliance.
• Experienced in Social Values and Environmental & Sustainability drivers and commitments.
Essential/Desired Skills:
• Self-Starter with proven sales track record in FM as a business development manager, sales executive or another relevant role
• Ability to design and price new Soft Service FM solutions for clients
• Strong knowledge of the Security and Cleaning Industry in the UK
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel & PowerPoint
• Experienced using CRM software
• Commercially astute and must be able to think on their feet
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
