We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Hygiene Operative to maintain cleanliness and safety standards on our production lines and other areas. Responsibilities include performing both daily and deep cleaning in accordance with established schedules, stripping and rebuilding slicing lines and presses as needed, and following all instructions on Cleaning Instruction Cards (CIC), including adherence to PPE requirements and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate is thorough, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. Pay rate - £12.53 per hour Shift - 6pm - 6am shift rotation To collect and remove rubbish and deposit in compactors, recycling skips and waste skips. To pre clean, foam down, wash, rinse and sanitise production lines, slicers, multivac’s, belts, conveyers, press room and floors. To clean outlying areas as required To clean ancillary areas if required To remove excess water from floors. To remove to inedible store any waste bacon debris. To wash and clean bins, trays and hand scales used in production. To carry out extra deep cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning schedule. To strip and building up of the production lines, presses nightly. Cleaning of the dry ends of the production lines using airlines, wipes. To have a flexible attitude to working hours. To have a high regard and maintain an awareness of health and safety issues. To have a professional manner towards colleagues, supervisors, and managers and to be respectful at all times. In bad weather conditions to assist in gritting outside areas. Experience of working in Hygiene in a food production environment preferred Experience of quality standards preferable.
