About the role:
As an Account Handler, you will provide quotations for New Business, Existing Business and Renewals to assist the Branch and be a referral point for the Trainees. The role requires dealing with clients in the branch, over the phone and via e-mail to ensure sales and retention targets are maximised, through the provision of efficient communication & negotiation skills.
You will:
1. Provide top-notch customer service, efficiently handling new business, renewals, and existing policies.
2. Master the processes for quoting and recommending the right products to meet client needs.
3. Present clear, fair, and accurate product info to help clients make informed decisions.
4. Calculate premiums according to carrier guidelines or collaborate with insurers for non-delegated business.
5. Keep detailed, accurate records of all customer interactions.
6. Spot complaints and escalate them to the appropriate handler.
7. Address queries via email, phone, and in person, ensuring all SLAs are met.
8. Act as a referral point for trainees in the branch.
9. Ensure full compliance, including treating customers fairly and contract certainty.
10. Attend client meetings when necessary.
11. Help achieve business goals by identifying opportunities and upselling.
About you:
1. Strong communicator, able to explain complex insurance terms clearly to clients and insurers.
2. In-depth understanding of the UK insurance market, including trends, risks, and regulations.
3. Skilled at assessing diverse client needs, industry risks, and business goals.
4. Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
5. Positive, enthusiastic, and motivating in your approach to work.
6. Experience in a broking or underwriting environment.
7. Cert CII qualification is a plus.
