Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be recruiting a Group Financial Accountant for a successful Private PE Backed business that has operations spanning across the UK.

The role will be predominantly based 5 days a week on site with a degree of flexibility.
The purpose of the role is to work closely with and support the Senior Group Financial Accountant to deliver accurate financial reporting for the Group. You will be working with the group's various regions as well as having an active role with managing budgets and revenue recognition. Duties will be varied and will include:
* Assist with the annual external audit process including:
o Co-ordination of the regional and Group year end audit, including being a point of contact with the external auditors.
o Preparation of the annual statutory accounts for the Group and subsidiaries.
o Accounting for joint ventures within the Group.
o Managing the statutory reporting for newly acquired subsidiaries including the statutory accounts and audit information.
* Responsibility for the monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts across all Group companies.
* Working with the operational finance teams to ensure complete and accurate information for the monthly management accounts and annual external audit.
* Ensuring the latest reporting requirements and guidance are adhered to.
* Undertaking technical review of accounting standards and assess their impact on Group accounting policies and reporting.
* Supporting a strong control environment, ensuring that financial controls and processes are in place & maintained.
* Delivering all financial information and analysis to agreed formats, timelines, and standards.
* Involvement in ad hoc Group Finance projects as required.
To be successful, you will ideally have the following skills and experiences:
* Newly qualified Accountant looking for first move into industry (ACA/ACCA).
* Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and applicable accounting standards (in particular IFRS 15).
* Prior experience in leading audit processes and liaising with auditors to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
* Highly organised and flexible with the ability to work independently to deadlines, in particular at month end and year end.
* Excellent communication skills and should enjoy working within a team environment.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, experience of COINS desirable but not essential.
* Pro-active self-driven approach with a desire to take ownership to develop and stretch themselves.
