Project Engineer – Utilities
£45k - £60k depending on experience
UK wide (home based role)
(Some UK travel required, with occasional global assignments)
The role:
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who values autonomy and flexibility. As a Project Engineer, you'll have full control of your schedule and can be 100% home-based if preferred. You’ll lead clients through critical utility accreditations (NERS, WIRS, GIRS), manage compliance audits, and develop tailored systems to optimize performance. This role is perfect for a proactive, manufacturing-savvy engineer ready to move into a consultative, client-facing role while operating with high independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accreditation Support: Guide clients in securing and maintaining utility sector accreditations.
* Audit & Compliance: Conduct gap analyses, compliance audits, and enforce best practices.
* Systems & Training Development: Design management systems, conduct training, and support compliance.
You Bring:
* A manufacturing or utility engineering background
* Knowledge of industry standards and accreditation processes
