Our client is a major manufacturer of products for the construction sector with numerous sites across the UK. They are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their operation in Melton Mowbray Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, your role will be to manage and assist in ensuring all machinery is properly maintenance through a PPM programme whilst also dealing with breakdowns as and when required. On a day-to-day basis you will: Complete and adhere to all Health & Safety related documentation for all maintenance activities. Carry out preventative planned preventative maintenance and repairs to site. Deal with plant breakdowns – ensuring it is returned to production in a timely manner, and temporary fixes are followed up with a permanent solution. Create and close off work orders. Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping keeping areas clean, tidy and hazard free Who would suit this role? Ideal candidates will be apprentice trained Engineers with either a Mechanically or Electrically biased who have previously working within a manufacturing or heavy industrial sector. You should be able to read drawings, have a good working knowledge of motors, sensors, inverters, hydraulic systems and pneumatics.
