Role Description: We’re looking for an Electronics Engineer to help us develop a new low-carbon hot water home appliance. You’ll be working with colleagues from our software and mechanical engineering teams to verify our electronics designs, suggest improvements and help us iterate towards a robust product. As part of a small team, you’ll have the opportunity to input into our ways of working, including PLM system setup and tooling. Role Essentials: Solid foundation in electronics design (3 years) Understanding of power electronics (chargers, power supplies etc.) Designs involving analogue and digital integration Proficient in schematic capture (we use Altium and Eagle) Proven experience of systematic testing of electronics designs, capturing results and summarizing findings Hands-on electronics lab skills & knowledge of common equipment Soldering Oscilloscopes/signal generators Power supplies, loads, temperature chambers etc. Additional Skills: Prototype firmware development (ESP32, STM32): able to develop firmware required to test/validate hardware designs Experience of PLM systems for requirements and design management PCB layout Personal Attributes: Working collaboratively with colleagues to find solutions Communicate ideas & issues effectively to internal colleagues or external partners Self-driven, able to breakdown a problem and work through it, demonstrating progress to the team We have a flexible working policy, but this role will require regular attendance to our office in Chippenham.
