Sr. Project Engineer - SCADA Systems/Cybersecurity Industrial Control Systems
This position reports to
Senior Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will be mainly accountable for:
1. Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
2. Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.
3. Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured/staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
4. Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.
Qualifications for the role
* You have 5+ years of experience in commissioning/integration of SCADA systems (Symphony, 800xA, 800m, Freelance) and/or in Industrial Control Systems cybersecurity.
* You have knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security, authentication, authorization, and access control methods.
* You have understanding of communication methods, principles, and concepts that support the network infrastructure as well as hardware and software asset management.
* Travel availability (50%).
* You are at ease communicating in English at an advanced level.
* Knowledge or certification in project management is a plus.
* Experience with management of after-sales systems (ticket, clients) is valuable.
* Experience assisting in creating proposals for projects and service agreements is desirable.
* Bachelor's Degree in Control and Automation, Mechatronics, Computer systems, or Communications and electronics engineering.
