Teacher of Food and Nutrition

Withington Girls’ School, The Sunday Times’ North-West Independent School of the Decade 2021, is looking for a well-qualified and experienced Teacher of Food and Nutrition to join this happy and outstandingly successful independent day school for girls.

The Food and Nutrition Department consists of two members of staff, including the Head of Department. Teaching staff are supported by a Food and Nutrition Technician. The Food room has recently undergone a full refurbishment. We have superb facilities and resources with a range of specialist equipment to support the delivery of the curriculum. Students study AQA GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition attaining 100% grade 7 to 9.
All students at Key Stage 3 are taught Food and Nutrition for one double lesson (70 minutes) in half class sizes, for half of the academic year. The post holder may be required to teach Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 lessons, flexibility is desirable.
The role of Teacher of Food and Nutrition is available from September 2025 and is a part-time (0.4 – 0.5) permanent position.
