An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Radiographer to join our Interventional Radiology and Fluoroscopy team to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be expected to rotate across the two areas and also have a commitment to the plain film service, however their primary focus will be Interventional Radiology and joining the on call rota.
The Radiology service is dedicated in facilitating continuous professional development and role extension/advanced practice. There are more than 30 Advanced Practitioners within the service, with specialist experience in fluoroscopy/interventional radiology, mammography, ultrasound, CT, MRI and plain film radiographer reporting.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the multi disciplinary team, including Nurses, Interventional Radiologists and the vascular surgery team. The role includes imaging complex interventional procedures, managing worklists, prioritisation of patients, managing stock and ensuring a high level clinical service in Interventional Radiology and Fluoroscopy.
Specialist Radiographers in Interventional Radiology are expected to undertake ILS training and live within a reasonable distance of the hospital in order to undertake on call.
