An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Installer to join our Deployment Team in Mole Valley Life on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
The role is within the Customer Service & Deployment Department speaking to Customers Face to Face about our Technology Enabled Care Products & Services and installing them.
You will enjoy working independently, helping our service users and their loved ones feel reassured that they are safe and supported. You will be responsible for assisting our customers by installing telecare equipment and below are some of the tasks that would be undertaken:
What will I be doing?
1. Installing Telecare Equipment
2. In/outbound Phone calls
3. Providing information and signposting to customers and their family and carers, providing support where required to assist the customer to access activities, services and appointments.
4. Diary & Time Management
5. Installing Home Energy efficient equipment and advice
6. Installing Key Safes
7. True call Installations
8. Video Doorbell Installations
9. Collect payments from clients as required and issue receipts in accordance with the Council’s procedures.
10. Health and Safety – to work in accordance with the Council’s commitment to provide a healthy and safe working environment including the promotion and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures
11. Maintenance Visits
12. Hospital to home/Welfare calls
13. Undertaking promotional events and demonstrations of equipment to groups of people and organisations in the absence of the TECS Projects Officer. (Training will be provided)
14. Securing necessary customer details and completing relevant paperwork, producing accurate records and assisting in the production of routine and special reports where required in line with GDPR.
15. Undertaking Statutory training
16. Ability to travel across home counties with no more than a maximum of 6 points and a holder of a full Manual UK Driving License. A company vehicle will be provided for this role.
About you
Ideally you will be/have:
1. Experience in a working face to face environment with the elderly and the vulnerable, also working in an office environment.
2. Used to working with Microsoft systems such as Word, Excel, and Teams.
3. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style and format to suit different situations and audiences.
4. An understanding of Technology Enabled Care services is desirable; however, all training is provided.
