About Our Client
An opportunity to join a growing, small team based in Wellington with very hands-on Directors working with a diverse range of industry sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Clients vary in industry sector and turnover ranges from very small sole traders to limited companies with turnover well into the £millions. They provide a full range of 'general practice' services across year-end accounts, corporate and personal tax, VAT, management accounts/bookkeeping, and payroll service provision.
IRIS is used for accounts production, and while they encourage the use of SAGE - both desktop and cloud, their clients also utilize various online software including Xero, Quickbooks, Freeagent, and others.
Job Description
You will join the team as an Accounts/Tax Semi Senior or AAT Technician level key addition, adaptable to fit and work around your background and existing experience levels. You will take on increasing responsibility for the hands-on provision of accounts preparation, personal and corporate tax, management accounts, VAT, bookkeeping, payroll, etc., as you develop within this firm and role. You will have the opportunity to develop technically and progress, carving a long-term career move as a highly valued addition in this close-knit team of professionals, with support available for those pursuing further qualifications.
The Successful Applicant
You may be AAT qualified, or studying at Level 3 or 4, or have developed your career entirely through experience, or be pursuing ACCA or other qualifications. You will have a background working in the accountancy practice sector for an accounting firm of any size, having developed your career to around the Accounts/Tax Semi Senior or AAT Technician levels, with at least two to three years of experience, or considerably more. You will bring a mix of year-end accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, etc., and be looking for a new career move where you can become a key, long-term addition to a successful team and firm. Study support is available.
