Role: 1:1 Mentor
Location: Plymouth
Contract: Full time, term-time only
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
Salary: £14.45 - £15.20 per hour

About the school:
This specialist provision caters to students aged 11 - 16 who have been excluded from school or are at risk of exclusion. With a strong focus on core subjects and alternative learning experiences, the school offers vocational training, outdoor education and personalised development to help students to thrive.
Your role as a 1:1 Mentor:
* Support students academically and emotionally, helping them overcome barriers to learning
* Assist with personalised timetables, including off-site activities such as farm visits, sports centres and museums
* Forster a safe and supportive learning environment, prioritising student wellbeing
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with EHCPs
* Build strong relationships with students, staff and parents/carers
Who we’re looking for:
We welcome applications from candidates with a background in education, youth work, coaching or support roles. It is essential that you have at least 3 months child-based experience in the UK, even on a voluntary basis. If you’re passionate about working with young people, we want to hear from you!

* Must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car for off-site activities
