Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join our large and busy team as a Static Band 6 Physiotherapist in Orthopaedics to cover maternity leave for 12 months. Part of this role will including working in our brand new Bristol Surgical Center due to open in spring 2025. Opportunities will also include working with our major trauma patients and also gaining skills in working with patients from our burns and plastics ward. Please view our Trust video Main duties of the job Providing a physiotherapy service to the elective and trauma orthopaedic wards Working effectively with all team members within the physiotherapy service, NBT and outside agencies to provide information about physiotherapy treatment. Communicate effectively with patients and carers to progress treatment programmes, provide reassurance and facilitate their care. Will take an active part in our weekend rota Supervise and mentor junior members of the team About us North Bristol Trust is a major trauma centre and regional centre for elective orthopaedics with an exciting new Bristol Surgical Centre being built - due to open early 2025 The physiotherapy teams have well established CPD programmes and strong supervision and wellbeing support. The senior physiotherapists regularly contribute to service development and QI projects and support junior staff, students and support workers.
