As an HLTA, you will take a pivotal role in delivering personalised educational interventions that enable our pupils to thrive. Working within a collaborative teaching and clinical team, you will support pupils across both formal and semi-formal educational pathways. From leading bespoke interventions like Lego Therapy, Precision Teaching, and Emotional Literacy, to tracking progress and contributing to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), you'll have the chance to make a real impact every day.
As an HLTA your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering targeted interventions as outlined in EHCPs.
- Monitoring and recording progress through detailed observations, pre- and post-assessments, and identifying next steps.
- Supporting class teams with planning, delivering, and assessing tailored educational provisions.
- Providing regular updates for Interim TACs (ITACs) and Annual Reviews.
- Collaborating closely with the clinical team to align interventions with specialist care.
To thrive in this HLTA role, you'll need:
- Experience working in a school setting, ideally with SEND pupils.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and ICT skills.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- A recognised TA or HLTA qualification.
- A creative, proactive approach and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with Autism.
