About the opportunity
We are seeking a Newly or Part Qualified Accountant to be a key part of a newly formed external reporting team within the Amentum International Business. Following an international merger with the Critical Mission Solutions division of the global Jacobs business, we are establishing an external reporting team to meet the demands of the expanded business. The candidate will be a key part of preparing and managing audit cycles on both a group and individual entity level, as well as other external reporting areas such as VAT, CIS and ONS. The role will have a focus on managing work to deadlines, communication with various stakeholders and flexibility to handle ad-hoc tasks such as assistance with bid work.
Responsibilities
* Involvement in both group audit and statutory audit cycles, preparation of information and timely responses to audit queries and sampling.
* Involvement in preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns.
* Prepare responses to ONS survey requests on a monthly basis.
* Coaching and assisting junior members of the team.
* Varied role, ad-hoc additional duties depending on demand likely.
Requirements
* Newly/Part Qualified in CIMA, ACCA, ACA.
* Experience and knowledge in reporting and/or accounts preparation.
* Adaptable and independent.
* Experience of audit preferable.
* Proficient IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
