Regulatory Reporting Analyst
Location: Durrington, West Sussex (Hybrid)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £37,400

About the Role:
We are looking for a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to help us manage and improve the way we report important data. This information is used by Ofwat (our industry regulator) and helps make sure we meet our requirements. In this role, you will work with different teams to gather, collate and interpret data, making sure it is accurate and submitted on time.
This job is perfect for someone who likes working with numbers, spotting patterns, and making sure everything adds up. You will also have the chance to improve how we do things, making reporting processes smoother and efficient as part of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collect and organise data for annual, quarterly and monthly internal and external reports.
2. Prepare regular updates on company performance, looking for trends and improvements.
3. Ability to develop a good understanding of Ofwat regulatory reporting requirements and the importance of providing accurate data to our regulator on time.
4. Work closely with other teams to improve data accuracy and reporting processes.
5. Answer requests for information from Ofwat and other business areas.
Skills & Experience:
6. Strong skills in working with data – experience using Excel is important (SQL and Power BI would be a bonus).
7. A degree in a related subject (such as Maths, Economics, or Business Analytics) is useful, but relevant experience is just as important.
8. Good attention to detail and ability to spot mistakes or patterns.
9. Ability to work to short deadlines under significant pressure, particularly during the annual reporting process.
10. Good understanding of stakeholder and project management– self-motivated individuals who can take ownership of their work.
