Serco have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Maritime team. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a Vessel Replacement Programme (VRP). These responsibilities include, but are not limited to Programme Designing, Planning Progressive Delivery, managing the programmes scope, Managing the programmes deliverables, Risk management, Evaluation of New Information, Programme reporting, Stakeholder management and the Closure of the Programme. Main Accountabilities: Lead the successful delivery of the Vessel Replacement Programme through effective stakeholder management, Deliver the programme in line with the agreed schedule, budget and quality. Develop methodologies to monitor and track progress, and benefits against work stream objectives and the overall programme. Provide appropriate reporting and tracking of issues to the Head of VRP and ensure effective implementation of any resulting action plans across the Division, publishing lessons learned and promoting the sharing of best practices. Support the management of risk for the programme in alignment with the programmes risk management plan and the Divisional Risk approach. Coaching and supporting more junior members of the team to help build experience and capability in project & programme management. Promote a culture of continuous improvement. What you'll need to do the role: Project / Programme Management certification and experience (e.g. APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ), Prince2 MS Office Skills, including Project Online, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrable leadership and management skills- desirable Demonstrable financial and commercial management skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentational communication skills Experience of exceptional collaboration, influencing, communication and engagement of a wide range of internal stakeholders including senior executive leaders, as well as external stakeholders. Experience of working in a high-pressure environment and managing multiple demands at once. Excellent interpersonal skills. Working within a matrix organisation, you will be able to forge good working relationships quickly and collaborate as part of a varied team. SC Security Cleared or ability to obtain the required clearance. Willingness to travel as necessary to deliver programme outcomes.
