Commercial Assistant WB Power Services is currently recruiting for a commercial assistant to work in our Heanor, Head office. The Role Assist in document control and maintain a comprehensive filing structure. Produce relevant monthly reports for quantity surveyors, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Compile project handover packs and attend handover meetings, including minute-taking. Receive and analyse quotations. Liaise with Project Managers regarding price, availability, etc. Notify subcontractors in writing of both successful and unsuccessful bids promptly. Produce and process formal subcontract documents and certify payments. Support cost management and analysis of project performance as directed by Quantity Surveyors. Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts. Resolve any issues that may arise reactively and proactively. The Person Experience as a commercial assistant. Previous experience in a relevant industry would be desirable but is not essential. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Experienced and competent with IT systems and a willingness to learn our own ERP. High level of mathematical ability and problem-solving skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a growing business. A good understanding of Surveying and Estimating. The capability to deal with a variety of customers from different industries.
