Leeds – Office based with some flexibility
30 Hours per week over 4 days with occasional weekend work required
Key Purpose of the role
G enerate income to support the charity in its mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses, ponies, and donkeys.
Reporting to the Sanctuary Manager, the fundraiser will be responsible for all fundraising at the charity, which includes
* Identifying and developing fundraising relationships with new supporters, including organisations and corporate sponsors
* Initiating new opportunities for fundraising
* Managing relationships with existing supporters to make sure they feel valued
* Exploring and implementing ways in which the local community can become involved in supporting the charity
* Creating and implementing an annual timeline of fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives and managing the organisation and delivery of each
* Managing a small group of fundraising volunteers to deliver events/stalls on and off-site
* Creating promotional content for marketing and social media purposes and ensuring the widest possible reach
* Budget management, reporting and evaluation of each activity and fulfilling any other administrative duties that are required
* Responding to general phone calls, taking and logging messages for the charity and directing these to the appropriate person
Personal requirements
* The ability to use appropriate and effective communication skills to interact with people at different levels in different settings
* Experience in fundraising is essential, and working with volunteers would be helpful.
* Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team
* Proactive
* Excellent writing and communication skills
* Experience in creating social media content
