The Opportunity
A global food company renowned for its exceptional culture is seeking a National Account Manager to oversee their Wholesale & Cash and Carry business.
In this pivotal position, you’ll assume full ownership and accountability for the P&L of the company’s Wholesale and Cash & Carry customers. Success in this role calls for a driven individual with strong commercial acumen and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach to foster long-term partnerships and drive sustainable growth across key accounts.
Your ability to cultivate meaningful relationships, secure share of space, and optimize distribution and stock holdings will be critical to your success.
What will my key accountabilities be ?
* P&L Management: Deliver customer P&L, distribution, and category share targets for brands within the retail Wholesale and Cash & Carry channels.
* Sales Reporting: Provide weekly and periodic sales reporting, with a clear understanding of the financial metrics and their underlying drivers.
* Risk and Opportunity Analysis: Identify key risks and opportunities, model potential outcomes, and collaborate with Category teams to create compelling selling stories that influence customer decisions.
* Annual Planning: Support the SNAM in developing and executing growth plans to deliver best-in-class activation and drive profitable growth.
* Relationship Building: Establish strong cross-functional relationships both internally and externally, representing customer needs within the organization and promoting the business to customers.
* Local Engagement: Develop relationships with key stakeholders at Wholesale/Cash and Carry depots to ensure fair share of space, distribution, and stock holdings.
* Advocacy: Champion the Wholesale/Cash and Carry channel within the business, sharing insights with the broader Sales team.
* National Travel: This role requires regular travel and fieldwork to build and maintain relationships.

* Internal: Cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, demand planning, category, and supply chain teams.
A Great Candidate will have :
* P&L Expertise: Proven experience managing customer P&Ls within the Wholesale & Cash & Carry channels.
* Sales Track Record: A history of achieving sales targets and delivering standout brand activation at depots.
* Relationship Management: Strong capability in building and maintaining relationships at both local and Head Office levels.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and inspire stakeholders.
* Entrepreneurial Spirit: Adaptability and resilience to navigate setbacks and embrace innovative approaches.
* Time Management: Ability to effectively prioritize and focus on high-impact opportunities.
