We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in leading the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hospitality, and delivering outstanding dining experiences for our guests. The role will include working Friday, Saturday and Sunday's with more hours available during school holiday periods.
Duties
1. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
2. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
3. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
4. Work alongside kitchen staff to foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
5. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective food management practices.
6. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
7. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen equipment.
3. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
4. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment.
5. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
6. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
